An estranged couple have hit the headlines this week as their divorce legal fees are in the region of £10 million.
This is likely to be in relation to division of the matrimonial assets and the matter is contested, with the hearing scheduled to take place at the High Court over a period of three weeks.
Whilst the assets in this case have not been disclosed, one would certainly hope they are at such a level to warrant such significant legal fees.
Legal fees are, of course, at the forefront of most couple’s minds and as such, alternative methods to issuing Court proceedings should be explored.
